Nominated, wrecklessly!

Okay, check this out (blushing big time)-->

I got an email from a sweet girlie girl (you know who you are) who let me know she nominated me for Blu Photographer of the Year a few months ago; while i was completely, utterly flattered, I was thinking, "yah, right, never in a million years could I be SO cool that I would actually be one of the nominees!"

Well...here it is: I'm still not actually cool, but Kailee from Bludomain.com emailed me a couple of months ago to surprise me with the awesome news that I was officially a nominee.

Can I just say, for the record, Bludomain is such an amazing company to be affiliated with? They have been nothing but gracious, giving, and kind. Through some very trying times in my life, they have given me opportunities I never thought would be possible. Their websites are clean and gorgeous; plus, my clients love the layout, proofing gallery, and access to my information! My website's back end is ridiculously easy to manage. There isn't a single downside to any dealings I've ever had with them. Maybe one: that I feel like they've done so much for me, I can never repay them the favor! So, in lieu of not sounding like an infomerical...to Bludomain, my heartfelt "thank you" goes to you and your awesome staff. Many, many blessings to you!!!

Extrordinary - Fjord

I cherish this gallery of collected works from young photographers from across the world. www.fjordphoto.org. It has inspired me and left me in awe at how simple our art can be, and still be effective; how devastating and heartbreakingly lonely an image can be without throwing a specific situation in my face or making the image's story blatantly obvious.



So far, my favorite is Michelle Arcila. Her images reach into the core of who I am today; I've been taken in and taken down by the subtle and breathtaking work she has shared.
